The idea of a Rogue in raid circumstances is obviously substantial melee DPS and interrupts, I'm specced into Combat
because it feels good for me and is a tried and trusted PvE spec, the idea of a Combat Rogue is practically slow MH
weapon for big SS damage, and a faster offhand for greater energy regeneration.

The Off Hand a key part of your Combat DPS due to the talent Combat Potency, which has a chance to give you Energy every time your Off Hand auto attack hits. Faster weapons allow for more frequent auto attacks, obviously, meaning that faster Off Hand choices will generate more Energy in a given duration.
Main perks of combat rogues are the cooldowns; Adrenaline Rush, Blade Flurry & Killing spree, which, when timed correctly,
and used in tandom, provide powerful buffs. And the +4% Physical Damage debuff.
I am currently a hack & slash combat build, which means I'm specc'd for axes & swords, however, since returning to the game
I am yet to find a sword or axe(let alone win one) for my Mainhand so I am currently using a mace which was a good upgrade
from Calamity's Grasp, which I was using from Ulduar days.
Describe your classic raiding experience (Late 2004 - 2006), if any:
Unfortunately my toon was only late 50's when BC came out, just after I found my Krol Blade while questing for Timbermaw rep.
Describe your BC raiding experience (2007 - Late 2008), if any:
Only really raided Kara & ZA (First 2 bosses), after prolonged breaks & other things, never got myself into BC raiding.
Describe your WotLK raiding experience (Late 2008 - Present):
10man ULD 11/12 25man ULD 9/12. Sarth 10man 3D burn(2nd July '09).
I quit playing a month or so after ulduar came out and have only returned recently,
since then I've successfully Pugged 6/12 ICC in both 25 & 10 man with experience in the Dreamwalker fight.
We raid four evenings per week, currently Wed/Thu/Sun/Mon, starting at 8:00pm AEST and AEDT and ending at 11pm.
Is there anything that would regularly prevent you from attending our scheduled raids?:
These times are fine and I can think of nothing that would
regularly prevent me from attending, however,
because I am a student.. during exam times I would be unable to attend most raids.
What mods do you consider essential for your primary raid role (include a UI screenshot if possible)?:
There are only really two addons that I feel are essential for my PvE role, these are Omen and RoguePowerBars.
Omen for obvious reasons. RoguePowerBars is a simple addon which tracks my current buffs and debuffs on targets,
this helps me keep track of things such as Slice and Dice and poison stacks. (It also helps a lot in saving me from trying to find
how long I have left on certain buffs by looking at the top corner of my screen.)
Although they're not technically mods, I find that key bindings are essential, as you can see in the screenshot above,
I've bound interrupt to ` (left of 1) for quick interrupts, Disarm to F & stun to T, Shiv to G to make sure poison stacks don't drop,
my tricks macro, which automatically casts tott to the name set in my macro, which obviously changes depending on circumstances,
which is bound to my middle mouse button, Killing spree & gouge which are bound to the buttons on the left of my mouse which are easily hit by my thumb

I enjoy playing an endgame rogue because, they can be challenging, and require me to think on my feet for optimal DPS, when to pop cooldowns, whether or not to use a damage finisher or top up SnD. This can be the defining factor for sustaining high DPS, or dropping down due to losing rhythm in my rotation. I find this an enjoyable challenge and can be quite rewarding if the right on-the-spot decision is made.
For a DPS role application, provide a description of your optimal ability rotation, provide links to some log (25-man preferred) parses if available:
The primary rotation for a combat rogue is to keep SnD up and execute as many 5point Eviscerates as possible, this is different to the rotation that I was using before I quit, which involved keeping a 5point rupture up at all times. Depending on whether or not hero will be popped early or late in certain fights, I usually open with
Adrenaline Rush > 2 cp SnD > Blade Flurry > Killing spree w/ last seconds of BF
For pure classes, assuming the presence of dual-spec, what will your secondary spec be (describe, provide link if possible)?:
My main PvE spec will ALWAYS be whatever suits my weapons best. e.g if I have two daggers that are better than weapons I would use for combat, I would spec into mutilate.
My offspec is simply PvP. However, if it is required, I am willing to respec to what is necessary for a certain fight, or something to accomodate what the guild is expecting from me.
In your opinion, what is the most challenging encounter you have experienced in WoW?:
Would have to be Sarth25 + 3D, pre-Ulduar.
Describe your role in this encounter in detail, from pull to boss death:
My role was to burn down Tenebron as fast as possible, blowing cooldowns and nuking it down ASAP before Shadron landed, then clearing out any adds remaining, with ToTT + FoK spam, covering the healers & clothies at the same time. The next step was to make sure the Drake OT had enough threat on Shadron before the next nuking phase started, taking care of adds while avoiding waves etc. I've chosen this particular fight for my most difficult encounter because in my eyes, it is an encounter which requires 100% attention from each and every player in the raid.
Finally, why are you applying to Pitch Black? Why us? (30 words minimum)?:
I'm looking for a successful raiding guild with steady progression, but a guild that is also a fun environment, some people take the game too seriously, we all want to progress but I want to enjoy myself while doing so. There are also a few old guild members from Sidus Immortalis who've joined here and I'd like to join them again.
